Turf Relay: Dalefield · Version 1.0.0 · Effective 12 August 2026
Installed app summaryNo personal-data collection, Internet permission, account, free-text input, analytics, advertising or publisher-accessible activity history.
01Responsible entity, scope and effective date
Dalefield Hockey Club Incorporated is the responsible publisher of Turf Relay: Dalefield for Android, package nz.org.dalefieldhockey.turfrelay. This policy applies to version 1.0.0 of the installed app and is effective from 12 August 2026. A separate public support website reproduces this policy for access without installing the app.
02Intended audience and responsible-adult boundary
The app is an offline preparation and conversation guide for adult players, guardians, supporters, volunteers and responsible adults supporting community hockey. Junior content is designed to be used with an engaged guardian, coach or other authorised responsible adult. The app is not a private adult-to-child communication channel and is not intended for unsupervised youth handoffs.
03App purpose and main functions
Turf Relay presents a pitch compass, kit-bench prompts, shared-space views, communication cues, guardian handoff reminders, junior participation lenses, volunteer prompts, respectful-conduct cards, weather margins, welfare stop cues, after-whistle resets and a source shelf. It is an educational field guide, not a fixture, registration, team-management, scorekeeping, selection, coaching, medical, incident-reporting or emergency-response system.
04Data collected, transmitted and data not collected
The installed app does not collect, transmit, upload or receive personal data. It has no Internet permission, backend or publisher-accessible data store. It does not request a name, email address, phone number, age, player identifier, precise location, attendance, roster, score, health information, incident account, photo, audio, video or free-text note.
05Temporary interface state
The app may keep the currently selected pitch station and page in temporary on-device interface state so the screen can remain coherent during ordinary use. Android may restore that limited interface position after backgrounding or activity recreation while system state remains available. It is not an activity history, is not transmitted, and cannot be retrieved by the publisher.
06Sensitive information, youth records and free-text notes
The app has no field for sensitive personal information, youth records, medical information, safeguarding reports, attendance, transport details or free-text notes. Users should not treat the app as a place to document a child, injury, dispute or incident. Use the current club, venue, competition or emergency procedure outside the app.
07Permissions and device access
The app requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, storage, notification, Bluetooth, sensor or other dangerous runtime permission. It uses only ordinary Android interface capabilities needed to display bundled text and images. External email or web actions, when selected, are handed to a separate compatible app chosen by the user.
08Accounts, login and account deletion
Turf Relay has no account, login, membership credential, profile or cloud identity. The publisher therefore holds no in-app account to delete. Membership, registration and competition services are outside this app and are governed by the provider of the service actually used.
09Advertising, analytics, tracking and third-party SDKs
The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, behavioural tracking, telemetry, remote configuration, social-media SDK, crash-reporting service or embedded third-party software development kit that collects user information. It does not create an advertising identifier or cross-app profile.
10Sharing, disclosure and sale
Because the installed app does not collect personal data, it does not share, disclose, sell or rent personal data to the publisher, sponsors, data brokers, advertisers or other third parties. Actions completed in an external email client or browser are governed by that external service rather than by this app.
11External email, web sources and network behaviour
The core guide works without a network connection. Contact and source buttons may ask Android to open the user's external email client or browser. Turf Relay does not send a message, load the destination, read the resulting content or receive a response itself. Before continuing, users should review the destination address, content and the privacy practices of the external service.
12Retention
The publisher retains no app-collected personal data because the installed app collects none. Limited interface position may remain only as temporary Android-managed state. Messages, browsing history or other material created in external apps follow the retention controls of those external apps and their providers.
13Deletion, backup, restore and device transfer
Users can return to the Pitch Compass, close the app, clear its Android app data or uninstall it. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Turf Relay. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes app-managed local state. The publisher has no remote copy to erase and cannot delete content created in an external email client or browser.
14Security measures and limits
The app reduces privacy risk by operating offline, omitting accounts and sensitive input, requesting no dangerous permission, disabling backup and device transfer, and bundling its editorial content locally. No software or device is absolutely secure. Users remain responsible for device access controls and for information they choose to place in a separate external app.
15Children, families and safeguarding
The app does not knowingly collect information from children and does not offer chat, direct messaging, public youth profiles, photo upload, attendance tracking, transport coordination or adult-child matching. Junior material requires engaged adult supervision. Safeguarding concerns must be taken to the current responsible adult, club, venue or competition contact, and urgent danger must be handled through the appropriate local emergency service.
16Hockey, welfare and professional-advice limits
Turf Relay does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, first-aid instruction, equipment certification, coaching accreditation, legal advice, official rules interpretation or clearance to participate or return to play. For a possible head-impact or other welfare concern, stop participation, tell the responsible adult, coach or event first aider, and follow current venue, emergency and qualified-clinical guidance. The app does not score symptoms or determine recovery.
17Policy changes and user choices
A later release may update this policy if the app's functions or legal obligations change. The effective date and version will be updated with a material revision. Users may choose not to open any external action and can continue using the bundled offline guide. Review the public policy page for the policy associated with the version being distributed.
18Privacy and support contact
Privacy and app-support questions may be directed to Dalefield Hockey Club Incorporated at admin@dalefieldhockey.co.nz. Junior club enquiries may be directed to juniors@dalefieldhockey.co.nz. These addresses are published on the club's official website. Do not include sensitive youth, medical or incident details in an ordinary email; use the appropriate current safeguarding, venue or emergency procedure instead.
